Kisakye Cinderella Grace
I am Kisakye Cinderella Grace, born and raised in Entebbe, Uganda. Our stories are rooted in Busoga — the kingdom in eastern Uganda along the banks of the Nile, where the drums beat and the kob runs across the savannah. That is the heritage these books teach.
As a mother in the diaspora, I watched my children grow up fluent in English but struggling to connect with their Busoga heritage. The books I found were either too formal, too generic, or simply not about our stories. So I decided to write them myself.
Kisoga Tales was born from that need: to give Basoga families — in Uganda and around the world — illustrated stories that reflect our culture, our river, our drums, and our unity.
Every book is written in Lusoga with English alongside, so that parents and children can learn together. The stories are set in Busoga — by the Nile, in the villages, among the drums and the kob — because our children deserve to see themselves in the books they read.

Our Mission
Kisoga Tales exists to help Basoga parents and grandparents in the UK, USA, Canada, and other diaspora communities teach their children the Lusoga language through beautiful, culturally authentic illustrated stories.
We believe that language is the heartbeat of culture. When a child reads “Wasuze otya eyo?” and understands it means “How did you spend the night?”, they are not just learning words — they are stepping into a legacy that stretches along the banks of the Nile.
Fulfilment
Digital copies are delivered instantly as PDF downloads. Print orders are shipped from Entebbe, Uganda. The stories themselves are set in Busoga — eastern Uganda, along the banks of the Nile.
